Who We Are

The South Spartanburg Fire District is proud to serve the Arkwright, Croft, and Roebuck community citizens with a professional, educated, determined, and highly skilled team of firefighters and command staff. The South Spartanburg Fire District prides itself in the exemplary services its dedicated firefighters and staff provide to make the communities they serve a safer place for all who live, work, and travel in this community.

Over the last half-century, the South Spartanburg Fire Department has expanded its services to meet the community's ever-changing needs. This has included merging three separate fire districts into a singular entity. The fire district's leadership cadre has made many dynamic advances to better prepare the district to answer the call of the thriving community.

The South Spartanburg Fire Department works diligently to provide an all-hazards emergency and service response to our community's citizens. As expressed in our mission statement, the South Spartanburg Fire District is committed to protecting, serving, and educating our community.
