In the early morning hours of September 27th, 2024, as hurricane Helene was wreaking havoc across South Carolina, our emergency responders were faced with extraordinary circumstances, and rose to the occasion. Spartanburg County 911 went down early that morning. Many roadways were blocked by downed trees, power lines and flooding and around 7am members of South Spartanburg’s Croft station recieved a knock at the door for help.
